On July 19, 2011, at a luncheon ceremony at JHUH, James and Emily Anderson, parents of Bryce and board members of the Foundation, presented awards of $1,000 to each of the nurses mentioned above. They also had the opportunity to share Bryce's story and their experiences as parents during their son's treatment course in the hospital.  The award-winning nurses, in turn, shared how they became pediatric oncology nurses.

The nurses were nominated by family members of pediatric cancer patients being treated at JHUH, and selected by the JHUH Berman Institute of Bioethics.

  Ice Cream Depot Fundraiser -- July 2009

On July 17, 2009, the Peterson's Ice Cream Depot (www.petersonsdepot.com) in Clifton has generously committed to provide a portion of its evening profits to The Bryce Foundation.  The Bryce Foundation will set up a table with informational materials.

Bryce Foundation $500 Raffle --May 2009

On May 9, 2009, The Bryce Foundation held a raffle at Kidsfest in Clifton, rasinging nearly $500.  The Bryce Foundation gratefully acknowledges the Washington Bike Center's contribution to the grand prize gift certificate.

Picnic At The Park -- June 2008

On June 7, 2008, The Bryce Foundation held a successful fundraiser at Burke Lake Park.  Despite the searing summer temperatures, more than 75 people attended.  The picnic raised more than $5,000, thanks to the generosity of attendees, contributors, and sponsors.

The picnic included a professionally-catered lunch, plus lots of fun family entertainment and activities.  Attractions included Banjo Man Frank Cassel, soccer with the Soccer Academy, Granny's Crafts Table, face painting with Kindercare, and balloon animals with Doug Bryant.
